Volunteering

Volunteering with TWS is a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty and wonderment of nature while exploring the benefits & rewards of living a healthier more balanced lifestyle. If you ‘re interested in science, gardening, enjoy caring for animals or just want to help out a great program designed to enrich the surrounding community this might be the opportunity you have been looking for.

What do I need to know about this opportunity?

TWS is an active working nursery/farm environment.

Maintaining the campus of Together We Stand is not easy, it takes lots of hard work and dedication. We work rain or shine so please keep the weather in mind before you come to the gardens. Working the gardens can be a messy experience, so expect to get your hands and clothes dirty.

It is recommended that you wear long pants and shirts during this experience. Wear comfortable shoes (absolutely no open toed shoes will be allowed while working in the gardens). Rain gear might be an option if the weather does not look agreeable. Staff members will stop work if the weather conditions become severe or unsafe.

It is recommended that you bring:

  • Enough drinking water for the time period that you will be volunteering.
  • Sufficient food items if you are working through a lunch period.
  • A hat.
  • Adequate sunscreen.
  • Gardening gloves.

All other tools and materials will be provided by the Together We Stand staff.

We recommend that you DO NOT bring personal items such as purses, jewelry or other valuables to the gardens while working in these volunteer or community service programs. Together We Stand cannot guarantee the safety of these items.

Please Note:
Efforts have been made to ensure the safety of all who come to enjoy our facility. However, this is an ongoing, developing project and care must be given by all to safeguard the wellbeing of those who participate at TWS. TWS shall not be held liable for any accident or injury occurring on the campus. Volunteers must sign an” Insurance Waver” form stating that they understand and agree to this stipulation.

Also a “Photography and Publicity Release” form must also be filled out before service may begin unless otherwise stated or agreed upon.

If you are interested in volunteering at TWS just fill out the volunteer sign–up form and one of our representatives will contact you shortly with the availability of days and times of upcoming volunteer events.

Registration is required. For more information, contact us using:
