What is Together We Stand

Together We Stand is an “Aquaponic Garden and Practical Education” facility.

Aquaponics is the utilization of plants and fish to establish a water based biological eco-system that promotes a naturally balanced and mutually beneficial relationship supplying the components required to sustain life.

“Practical Education” is the teaching of useful and down to earth information presented in a environment and format that promotes interest, involvement, and retention of the subject matter.

TWS has been established to reach out to the surrounding community through the application and teaching of aquaponics as an illustration of how elements of the natural ecosystems work together to benefit the individual as well as the complete bio-system involved. By the use of natural agricultural elements and earth-friendly technologies as learning tools, we are endeavoring to show case the importance of working together with nature as well as each other to achieve not only a better condition of life but a richer and more full-filled way of life.

TWS is focused on four areas of interest.

Together We Stand is a “Declaration of Community”.

TWS is much more than a name. It is a way of living! A way of thinking! This project is not about any single man’s ideas or individual program particular goals. It is about Community! It is a statement of our need to stand side by side with others to achieve more than any one man or one program could ever imagine possible. It is the breaking away from the concept of “only looking after #1 because no one else will” but to embrace the strength and power of the “body” of the community for the mutual benefit of the individual as well as the surrounding community. The same symbiotic relationships manifested all around us in nature are here to illustrate not only how to survive but how to live a prosperous and successful life.
